National (Universal) Children’s Day – November 20th

November 20th is National (Universal) Children’s Day. It was established in 1954 by the United Nations. Although we should celebrate children everyday, November 20th is a good day to ask: What does this day mean to you? What do children truly need for their wellbeing? What is it like to be a child now? How are Westernized children coping with their unnaturally fast-paced, over-stimulating lifestyle (in this writer’s opinion)? Are the children in your life valued and loved? Do they have time to be children?
